Bayside Barber Co. is more than just a barbershop and I’m so unbelievably proud of it. I moved from Perth, Scotland to Cardiff 2 years ago and noticed that Cardiff city centre was in need of a Barbershop that offers more than just a good haircut. Bayside Barber Co. is that barbershop. Our prices are competitive without being stupidly high, we offer discount to blue light holders, armed forces members, local business and students. Every service with us is coupled with a complimentary beverage of your choosing including beer from local brewery; Tiny Rebel. The shop also has a beautiful pool table, a dart board and a mini basketball hoop for customers to utilise while they wait or for their families and friends to make the most of.

My team are fantastic, each one of them holds the knowledge to not only give a flawless service to every client but also the knowledge to analyse our clients’ head shapes and hair textures to advice on the right haircuts/hairstyles for their specific head shapes, fashion sense and lifestyle. Together we’ve built our business up in just 5 months to being fully booked on a consistent basis and I love each and every one of them for their hard. I’m extremely proud of them.

I started cutting hair 9 years ago when a career changed made sense for my life and things happening around me. It was difficult at first, with most of weeks I was losing money to pay chair rent but i persevered through it to get to a point where in Scotland, alongside my peers in various barbershops, I gained knowledge and experience enough to build a solid clientele of amazing people who trusted me with their hair. When I moved to Cardiff, I knew it was going to be difficult, making a name for myself as a barber given that I knew next to no one but I relished the challenge because I trusted the knowledge I have and the customer service that I have worked on through many different careers, in pubs, clubs, fine dining restaurants and cocktail bars. As soon as I found this shop on Cardiff’s beautiful Morgan Arcade, I knew it had the potential, with the team we’ve built, to compete with the best shops in Cardiff quickly and I’m so proud to say, we have achieved that and then some. I could not be more pleased with the way we have handled opening and establishing this shop.
