Paul Cranny – From Life at Sea to Owning a Successful Travel Agency Over 20 Years at Sea – A Lifetime of Cruise Experience For Paul Cranny, cruising isn't just a business – it's been a way of life for over 20 years. Paul's journey began in 1996 when he joined the prestigious Swan Hellenic cruise line as a pianist and musician. What started as an opportunity to travel the world soon developed into a remarkable career at sea, spanning more than two decades. During his years with Swan Hellenic, Paul worked his way through several positions, from Pianist and Band Leader to Shore Excursions, Future Cruise Sales and eventually Cruise Director. He later became involved in senior future cruise sales roles, gaining invaluable experience in almost every aspect of the cruise industry. Working aboard ships such as Minerva and Minerva II, Paul travelled to destinations around the world, experiencing different cultures, ports and itineraries first-hand. More importantly, he developed an understanding of what makes a truly memorable cruise holiday. His time at sea gave him something that cannot be learned from a brochure or a computer screen – first-hand knowledge of cruise ships, destinations, life on board and, most importantly, what passengers really want from their holidays.
